Quiet, clean and inexpensive guesthouse north of hectic Thamel (5min walking distance) with a nice garden! -

Yangling Restaurant Kathmandu:
In central Thamel, a Tibetan restaurant on the first floor with pretty much the best momos we had in Kathmandu for an unbeatable price (no VAT and service charge extra). Have been there 3 times ;) -

OR2K is a small chain of vegetarian restaurant in Kathmandu and Pokhara. You can find really fresh food, especially vegies and fruits, which after some time eating in Tea house is greatly appreciated. Relaxed atmosphere, descent price, it's a place to visit! -

Garden of Dreams Kathmandu
A tiny little green oasis in the center of Kathmandu, perfect to hang around and relax, read, feed the cheeky squirrels,...
The set up of the garden was supported by Austria, this is probably the reason why you find the Austrian "Kaiser Café" in therer (a bit on the pricy side though).
