Lifou

By On 10/04/2017

After a quick stopover in Nouméa we took another flight to Lifou, one of the Loyalty Islands north-east of Grande Terre. We had high expectations and were rewarded with another piece of peaceful paradise and diverse activities. Go ahead, see for yourself.

Northern Grande terre

By On 10/04/2017

We finally arrived to New Caledonia, a less frequented piece of paradise on the western tip of the south Pacific, on 10th January 2017. Due to flight availability to the real paradise islands we started our journey on the main island, Grande Terre, and headed north of Nouméa, the capital city. We made our way up the west coast and down again the east coast. If you are interested in more facts and stories, please read about the highlights of this 1-week road trip.

Kalaw to Inle lake

By On 16/02/2017

Instead of accessing Inle Lake in Central eastern Myanmar by road, we decided to get off in Kalaw and go on the popular 3 days/ 2 nights trek to reach the lakeside. Sweating during the day, freezing at night we experinenced a great walk with a hillarious group and afterwards enjoyed the beauty and serenity of Inle Lake.

Hsipaw and Pyin Oo Lwin

By On 27/01/2017

Heading northeast of Mandalay, we visited the Shan states, a province with a history that still affects peoples' lives nowadays. In Hsipaw we went on a 2 days hill tribe trek through lush and fertile valleys and afterwards we relaxed in Pyin Oo Lwin, the old British summer residence.

In Laos

Phongsaly

By On 19/11/2016

Time to leave Hoi An and Vietnam for Laos. Airliners that we are, we took the opportunity to fly in order to reach Dien Bien Phu (plus it saved us a bottom pain 48 hours bus journey). The journey took us from Danang airport (30 min away from Hoi An) to Hanoi and then connecting to DBP. The next day we travelled to Phongsaly where one of the most authentic experiences was just ahead of us…
