Road trip

Perth to Exmouth

By On 17/08/2017

After our wine excursion we were ready for the real adventure. We had rented a 4WD campervan to drive up all the way from Perth to Darwin. The first part of the journey took us through the amazing Pinnacle Desert, Shark Bay and the wild sandy François Peron National Park up to Exmouth. On the way we were blessed with good weather, perfect sunsets, amazing marine life at the Ningaloo Reef and a big surprise for Moni...

Perth and Margaret River

By On 07/08/2017

After our amazing stay in Tasmania we flew over to the West Coast and spent a couple of days in Perth, meeting some lovely friends from Alex' time in London. Then we headed out of town and went south to Margaret River, the most famous wine region in Western Australia. We spent our days hopping from winery to winery and enjoying the beautiful beaches and landscape around.

Northern & western Tasmania

By On 31/07/2017

From Bay of Fires we crossed the Tamar Valley to reach Launceston in northern Tasmania, but not without some stops at various outstanding wineries. We then enjoyed the flair of the small city and its beautiful gorge before going west into the mountains. We were again super lucky with the weather for our activities around Cradle Mountain and the return to Hobart via the West Coast.

Southern Tasmania

By On 10/06/2017

We arrived in Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania, and spent a few days there exploring the city and the probably most controversial museum on the island. Then we took the ferry to Bruny island where we were overwhelmed by beautiful nature and extremely good food. And last but not least we visited the Tasman Peninsular with the famous historic site of Port Arthur. A good first impression of "Tassie".

Red Center

By On 17/05/2017

We had to drive thousands of kilometers to reach the desert in the center of Australia where we went to see one of the signature landmarks of the country. Red dirt, an unexpected heatwave, wild camping and the most bizarre town we have ever seen contributed a great part to this unforgettable outback experience.

Melbourne, Great Ocean Road & Barossa Valley

By On 09/05/2017

We spent a few days in the lovely city of Melbourne, then went on our first and probably most intense road trip in Down Under. The first part of the journey covered the well-known Great Ocean Road along the south coast of Victoria and then we headed a bit inland to try (and buy) some Australian wine.

Lifou

By On 10/04/2017

After a quick stopover in Nouméa we took another flight to Lifou, one of the Loyalty Islands north-east of Grande Terre. We had high expectations and were rewarded with another piece of peaceful paradise and diverse activities. Go ahead, see for yourself.

Northern Grande terre

By On 10/04/2017

We finally arrived to New Caledonia, a less frequented piece of paradise on the western tip of the south Pacific, on 10th January 2017. Due to flight availability to the real paradise islands we started our journey on the main island, Grande Terre, and headed north of Nouméa, the capital city. We made our way up the west coast and down again the east coast. If you are interested in more facts and stories, please read about the highlights of this 1-week road trip.

The Loop @ Thakhek

By On 26/12/2016

After Vang Vieng and a night in Vientiane we continued our way down south to Thakhek, a city that does not offer much itself, but is a popular stop for doing a 3-5 days motorbike loop exploring beautiful landscapes and many caves on the way.
