City

From Bay of Fires we crossed the Tamar Valley to reach Launceston in northern Tasmania, but not without some stops at various outstanding wineries. We then enjoyed the flair of the small city and its beautiful gorge before going west into the mountains. We were again super lucky with the weather for our activities around Cradle Mountain and the return to Hobart via the West Coast.

We spent a few days in the lovely city of Melbourne, then went on our first and probably most intense road trip in Down Under. The first part of the journey covered the well-known Great Ocean Road along the south coast of Victoria and then we headed a bit inland to try (and buy) some Australian wine.

We spent our last days in New Caledonia with Fabien and Keisha and used their home as a base for our day trips to "Parc de la Rivière Bleu" in southern Grande Terre and to spend some time in Nouméa itself.

We spent one day in the biggest city in Myanmar and visited the main attraction in town: the impressive Shwedagon Pagoda. Then we headed to one of the biggest Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Myanmar: the Golden Rock. Our flight from Bangkok brought us to Mandalay, a city in central Myanmar.
Before heading to the countryside we took one day to explore the numerous temples, pagodas and monasteries around Mandalay hill. A good first impression of the "land of golden pagodas".
